Laddermate™ Ladder Stabilizing Strap

PROCEDURES FOR USE

Laddermate is a unique ladder safety product specifically designed to stabilize a straight or extension ladder when used on a utility pole (or other cylindrical object such as a light pole, piling, I-beam post, etc.). When properly used, Laddermate effectively eliminates the destabilizing "twisting" motion most responsible for ladder-on-pole mishaps. Because Laddermate is so quick and easy to use, it makes elaborate, time-consuming rope lash methods obsolete.

Laddermate is a durable one piece unit constructed of a specially woven military specification canvas material in a safety yellow color and reliable military specification hardware. It's independent laboratory tested design and construction consists of a long main strap designed to wrap around the pole and two loop sections with special hardware to allow tensioning of the main strap and attachment to the ladder rails. The canvas is treated with rot and mildew inhibitors to maximize service life and has a special colored wear indicator thread embedded within the webbing material designed to determine when accumulated abrasion requires replacement.

The first telephone operating companies to fully implement Laddermate over ten years ago found that ladder related accidents fell sixty percent! Field personnel particularly liked Laddermate's efficiency. In thirty seconds they could make their ladders more secure than if they used the old rope lashing method which could take five minutes or longer. When properly used in combination with the Laddermate at pole bottom, Top Laddermate provides an extra measure of stability and safety. Top Laddermate is quick and easy to use.

PROCEDURES FOR USE

Top Laddermate is a durable one piece unit constructed of a special red nylon webbing material and reliable military specification hardware. Its independent laboratory tested design and construction consists of a strap designed to wrap around the pole and two loop sections with special hardware to allow attachment to the ladder rails. Tensioning and releasing of the main strap is facilitated with the use of a spring-loaded cam buckle.
